In the Right Book Workshop, we’ll help you map out:
What to write your book about (what to focus on, what to include, and what to leave out)
A great hook that makes your book irresistible to your ideal readers and clients
The perfect title so potential clients will know why they need to buy it and read it now
This will be a hands-on workshop where we’ll work with you to help you to write the right book for your business, so plan to attend live to get our suggestions, feedback, and recommendations.
We'll be hosting the workshop live on Zoom:
August 17, 2024 noon – 4 pm Eastern
Will there be a replay? Yes! All participants will get full recordings and handouts.
What they don’t realize is that writing the wrong book is way harder than writing the right book. And on top of that, spending hours writing the wrong book won’t help you to attract the clients you really want. (wah wah)
Instinctively, you probably know this. If I had to guess, I’d say you’ve known for a long time that writing a book is your next step. But you haven’t gotten anywhere with it. Maybe you’ve tried to write an outline. Maybe you’ve even spent some time staring out the window, watching the cursor blink on a blank page, or writing and deleting the same garbage sentence over and over.
Or maybe there’s just always something more urgent coming up to get in the way. And secretly, that’s a relief! Because even with all your other achievements, writing a book sounds intimidating, and where the hell do you start, and what if you pour all that energy into it and it flops?
You’re not crazy to worry about that.
Tons of people write books, sometimes spending months or years, and never see results. Who wants that? But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Don’t get me wrong. The writing is important, and we want to make it the best it can be. But the best writing in the world is not enough to make an effective book by itself. There’s a key step that most authors miss, and that’s making sure they’re writing the right book in the first place.
In our workshop, you’ll learn how to answer these 3 things:
How will the book transform potential clients and make their lives better?
What’s the best way to present that transformation so that the people who need it recognize it and gravitate toward it?
What content needs to be included, in what order, to help your readers experience that transformation?
Once you nail these, actually writing the book gets a lot easier because you know what you’re writing and where you’re going with it. Instead of feeling like you’re wandering around in an endless mud pit without a map and you may be there for the rest of your life, writing your book becomes a clearly defined, doable project that you can plan and finish—in weeks, not months.
Not only that, by nailing these three things BEFORE you write your book, you avoid the mistake we see so many people make, which is writing a book that wanders around for a few hundred pages but never really gets anywhere—and is impossible to sell.
That’s why we’re going to work with you to nail these three things in the Right Book Workshop.
Why this matters:
If you’re like most people we run into, there are a few reasons you want to write a book:
You want to make a bigger difference and serve more people than you ever could one on one.
You do great work, and it’s time to level up your visibility and own your expertise
You’d love to spend less time seeking out clients, and instead have ideal clients coming to you, already up to speed, bought in, and ready to work with you. (Hello, readers!)
You’re ready for a predictable, scalable flow of new business that you can turn up or down just by adjusting the ads you run to sell your book
You want to fill your email list with buyers who have demonstrated that they’re serious by spending the money to buy your book and the time to read it. (Oh, and by the way, you’re not paying for leads because your book royalties pay for your ads!)
The right book can fulfill all of these purposes. That’s why it’s so important to get the foundation right first, before you start writing.
It’s time to go from best-kept secret to bestselling author and recognized expert in your field.
The truth is, it’s not easy to nail the Big Three for your book, especially if it’s your first time. They don’t teach this stuff in school. But that’s exactly what we’ll do in the Right Book Workshop. Here’s what we’re going to do.
The Right Book Workshop will be a hands-on experience hosted over Zoom. We’ll go over the Big Three, and then we’ll help you nail them for your book.
At the end of our afternoon together, you’ll leave with the foundation for writing the right book:
The transformation your book will offer readers
The hook to make it irresistible
The title to turn book shoppers into your new readers
That way, you’ll be ready to write the right book for your business, knowing it will attract clients, multiply your impact, and establish your authority as THE expert in what you do.
We’re holding nothing back in this workshop!
If you choose to work with us further to write your book, awesome, but with this one workshop, you’ll have the foundations you need to sail forward with your book, with or without us.
